About us

Sustainability meets baking

Retaste’s story started in an unlikely place: inside a food factory.

As a Process Engineer working in the food industry, I witnessed firsthand the amount of edible resources discarded as “waste” or used as animal feed, despite being perfectly suitable for human consumption.

I wanted to make a difference and offer others the chance to join. That’s why I created Retaste Project—to offer a practical, consumer-friendly way to fight food waste.

And why bread? Because everyday actions, when done collectively, create the biggest impact.

Baking connects us with our resources and makes sustainability an effortless part of our routine. With our upcycled baking mixes—simple, nutritious, and climate-friendly—we turn food waste into delicious bread, proving that real change starts with our mindsets and at home.

Our Mission & Values

At Retaste, our Mission is to create high-quality baking products that are nutritious, delicious, and convenient.

Our Goal is to help you stay healthy and empower you to support sustainability—all in one simple step.

What guides us:

  1. Nutritious, Real Food. We use high-quality, natural ingredients. No chemicals, no additives, no “tricks”. Just real food.
  2. Sustainability. Every product is designed to minimize food waste and reduce our environmental footprint.

Food Waste, why do we actually care?

Food waste isn’t just leftovers—it’s a crisis.

It’s responsible for 8% of global CO₂ emissions and squanders precious resources like water and energy.

Worse, once in landfills, food waste emits methane, a greenhouse gas far more potent than CO₂.

Meanwhile, as demand for food rises, we’re throwing away massive amounts, deepening environmental damage and social inequality. Isn’t that ironic?!

So here is our message:

🌍 Wasting food = Wasting our future.

🧡 Our proposal: Less waste. More taste.

That’s the future we are fighting for.

Rethinking Waste, Redefining Food

Reducing food waste is one of the most effective solutions to combat climate change. So good news: everyone can make a difference!

Upcycling doesn’t just cut down food waste—it fuels a circular economy and inspires sustainable eating habits.

It’s about giving food a second chance and redefining what good really means.

Ready to join us? Let’s turn “waste” into taste, together🙌.
